Un millón de gracias, PA_CU por iluminarnos con tu conocimientos...yo me compre en agoston el Tamron y tampoco lo sabía, a ver si actualizo el fin de semana el objetivo, por cierto que mi A7II también le falta la útlima actualización...  ya puestos, pregunta que hago primero, actualizo la camara antes??

En principio no debería importar si actualizas antes el firmware de la A7II o del Tamron, aunque yo actualizaría antes la cámara.
Es importante que teniendo la A7II no dejes sin actualizar el Tamron 70-180mm, pues provoca un retardo importante al tomar fotografías con flash.

Pues sí he conseguido actualizar el firmware de la cámara ILCE-A7II  ya tengo 4.01 !!  tras muchos pasos informáticos, pero todo salió ok!   
Yo todo feliz voy a la pagina de tamron y actualizar version firmware de V 01  a V02... miro...y horror tengo Mac y mi version de sistema operativo es MaCOs 15  y os copio...dice que NO puedo actualizar el firmware de Tamron si tengo la última versión de MACOS (


Update Manual
1. Confirmation before starting
The lens software update can be performed only when an applicable lens is attached to the camera body. Be sure to attach an applicable lens to the camera body, and then start the update process.
*Attach the lens when the camera body is turned off.
Please refer to the camera's instruction manual or the camera manufacturer's website for details.

The lens update cannot be performed with the following camera bodies.
　NEX-3
　NEX-5
　NEX-C3

2. How to check the version of the lens software
Select "Setup" from "Menu" on the camera, and review "Version".
Lens system software version “Ver.01” or below is applicable.
This update is not necessary if the current lens system software is “Ver. 02.”

3. Preparations for software update
Remove the memory card from the camera body beforehand.
Please prepare the following items in addition to the lens and camera body.

actualizo!!  firmaware camera hecho 4.01  bastante largo y tedioso pero ok!
firmaware del Tamron 70-180mm 2´8 hecho, muy rápido...todo ok!  use un ordenador con windows al final.
